OH MY DOG!

year: 2007/08
length: 52' work in progress
format: HD
12' trailer: Current TV

This is a tragic comic portrait of urban society as seen through the relationship between people and dogs.   It shows the extremes people are willing to go for their dogs and what that reflects and says about the world we live in.
The film highlights the enormous developing pet industry in the USA, worth $43 billion per year and the growing emotional desire to be mum or dad to a cute, cuddly dog rather than to a baby.
